Professionalism
makes the difference
=
Professional experience
+ Professional equipment
= Quality videography
Then add to that equation
genuine affordability and you have an unbeatable formula for
attaining your custom video productions.
There are three basic elements
in the production of a video of professional quality:
(1) broadcast-quality picture;
(2) clear, clean, strong sound;
(3)
inconspicuous, gimmick-free editing and titling.
Now let me tell you how
I can fulfill these needs for you.
And remember: It's all
affordable! (You can find more information about estimating the cost
of your project in the
individual category information which may select to the left.)
PICTURE
I
use the Canon XH-A1, a professional video camera that generates
a clear, crisp, true-color picture. This is the kind of picture
you would expect to get when you tune in your local news broadcast.
There is no graininess or muddiness so often encountered with home
video cameras.
And you have the choice of
having your video made in
wide-screen (16:9) format or standard (4:3) format, and in standard
definition or high definition,
so you can have the picture that best meets the specifications of
your personal television equipment.
SOUND
As many as six Carvin professional unidirectional microphones
may be used, with desk stands, stage stands or
boom stands -- whatever it takes to capture all the sound that matters in superb stereo.
Professional XLR cables
and connectors assure a high gain signal with no line
noise and no signal loss.
EDITING
Editing is much more than simply looking, choosing and clipping.
It's a matter of assembling the best shots, seamlessly and without
gimmickry, to best accomplish what you want the video to do.
Good editing is hardly
noticeable. It does what it's supposed to do without calling
attention to itself. Good editing is the mark of a professionally
produced video.
TITLING
Title is what gives your video that final professional touch. Again,
we'll avoid the gimmickry and provide effective expertise.
If you want an end crawl in addition to opening title and credits,
we can do that. Maybe you need some captions throughout the
video that identify scenes or people or events. No problem.
Most titles will be text on solid background or overlaying a
scene or still shot from the video. But if you need custom
titles of any kind, we can do those, too.
END
PRODUCT
Finally, the finished version is written to a DVD that's labeled and
packaged, and you are supplied with as many copies as you want. I
keep a master copy of the DVD indefinitely, so if you ever need to
order more copies in the future, it's easily done.
So those are the
basics. Now if you'll go
back to the top of this page and click on one of the information categories, you'll find
details particular to that specific method of videography, including cost estimates.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch. In
the meantime, I look forward to our
working together on your next project.
